Your involvement

We need your help! Give your time, financial support or fundraising ability; or all three!

The Kindu Trust truly welcomes your contribution to our work.

We are passionate about what we do.  Volunteer, organise fundraising events in your community or use your money to make a difference to the children we work alongside in Ethiopia.

Child Sponsorship

It only costs £16 per month to make a very real difference to a child in Ethiopia. To find out more, please click here.

Donations

If you are not currently in a position to sponsor a child, please consider a one-off donation. General donations will go towards one of a number of good causes, either in assisting needy families who are not yet linked to a sponsor, or funding one of the other projects currently run by the Kindu Trust.

Fundraise

Help support the Kindu Trust's work in Ethiopia by using your skills to raise money. If you are inspired to jump, run, swim, bake or even just keep quiet for 24 hours, then head to our fundraising page.

Volunteer

Our team in Ethiopia are always in need of English speakers to help with home visits or putting together the information packs that get sent to sponsors. So, whether you come to Gondar specifically because of the Kindu Trust, or have a few days to spare when you're travelling in Ethiopia, we would love to hear from you. Please note, however, that we are unable to fund any volunteer costs, so this is a 'no expenses paid' volunteer program!

Send a present to a family in need

It is always nice for our families in Ethiopia to receive gifts from their sponsor families abroad. Click here to find out ideal items to send, and our address in Ethiopia.

Giving in your will

Would you consider leaving a gift to our work in your will? Your gift would enable the Kindu Trust to support young people in years to come, and they would always know your part in improving their lives. Please get in contact with us if you would like any more information about this. Thank you.

Our commitment

The Kindu Trust is committed to ensuring that not a single penny of your money is wasted. Hence we run a very tight ship when it comes to our administration costs:

* We share our London office with another Ethiopian-based charity, Link Ethiopia, to minimise UK office overheads.

* We are moving the majority of correspondance from the UK to be web and email based only, to reduce administration costs (please let us know your email address if you don't think we have it on file!).

* All of our UK workers are volunteers.

* Only local staff working in Ethiopia receive wages (we have a number of international volunteers) - the wages they receive will indirectly benefit the local community.
